Following yesterday’s win against Cumbria Ireland ‘A’ suffered a narrow defeat to Northumberland  today in the ECB Women’s County Championship Division 5.

Ireland 'A' are playing for the first time in this Championship and are in the Division with Cumbria, Northumberland and Suffolk.

The weekend's results means that Ireland A are currently joint top of the Division on points and may qualify for the promotion play-offs.

The promotion play-offs will be played in mid-September.
