Comments

The Russians have no problem scoring runs, especially at home, but their problem is bowling the opposition out. So the preferred strategy is to bowl to contain, then back themselves to chase any total; defending a total is not their strong point. It doesn't help that they have to play musical chairs with their selection: Eoghan Conway, Lionel Jansen and Dan van Zyl played on the same side only twice. Youngsters Sean Monks and Jamie Farrell are getting there, but the team won't progress until they get a strike bowler.
