With the departure first of Yogesh Kashyap, then of Sameer Dutt and Sadaf Raza, and the retirement of Richie O'Donnell, Belvo's squad was severely depleted, leaving them with one top order batsman and five number eights plus one strike bowler and two or three stock bowlers. There was no way they could compete with the top four teams in the division, and while they managed two wins in the four matches played against the other three, two no results condemned them to the drop. It's very difficult to see how they're going to get back, even if Simmi Singh stays.
