Comments
The decision to go for a coach, Paul Tweddle, rather than a hired gun, and the departure of Adam Coughlan and Shane Getkate to the Inch, left the team very short of firepower. Not that Paul didn't perform on the field - he did very well indeed. But the rest of the batting, Conor Geraghty apart, was no better than adequate, and Conor only lasted half a season. The bowling, Jimmy Govan excepted, was very unthreatening (look at the strike rates). The seconds and thirds did very poorly, so there was no pressure on first team places. If the team is to be a match for the facilities, the cuddliness must be swapped for a bony-elbowed sharpness.
