National University of Galway, Ireland (NUIG) progressed to the semi-finals of the Irish University Cricket Association Tournament when hosts Dublin University were unable to field a team on a glorious afternoon in College Park today.

In the semi-finals NUIG will play the winners of the University of Ulster (UU) / Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) clash, scheduled for Bangor CC on 28^th May.

Preliminary Round

(A) University College Cork  (UCC) v Waterford Insitute of Technology  

WIT : 423 all out in 50 overs  Sunil  61, Adeel 60, Ruban 55*, Ali Naseer  50
UCC : 51 all out in 18.2 overs . Sunil  (6-11)

WIT beat UCC by 372 runs

(B) Dublin Institute Technology (DIT) v Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) - Match awarded to DIT

(C) National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG)  v University College Dublin (UCD)  -

NUIG 264 all out beat UCD 200 all out by 64 runs

(D) Queens University Belfast (QUB) v Griffith College Dublin (GCD)

GCD  336 all out in 41 overs  QUB 51 all out in 15 overs

 GCD beat QUB by 285 runs

Quarter-finals:
(E) Dublin Business School v WIT @ To be confirmed (TBC) on 22nd May
(F) University of Ulster v DIT @ Bangor CC on 28^th May
(G) Dublin University (DU) v NUIG @ College Park on 19^th May - match awarded to NUIG
(H) Dublin City University (DCU) V Griffith College Dublin (GCD) @ TBC on TBC

Semi-finals E v H and NUIG v F and Final are in Dublin on 8^th and 9^th June.
