Cricket Ireland this morning has announced the Women's team for the European Championships due to be held in the Dublin region during August.
The squad will be captained by Heather Whelan and is as follows:

- Melissa Scott Hayward (Leinster)
- Clare Shillington (Malahide)
- Eimear Richardson (Leinster)

They have also named four reserves, who are as follows:

The fixtures during the tournament are as follows:
- Monday 3rd August: Ireland v Scotland @ Clontarf C.C, 10.45am start
- Tuesday 4th August: Netherlands v Scotland @ North County C.C , 10.45am start
- Wednesday 5th August: Ireland v Netherlands @ The Hills C.C, 10.45am start
- Thursday 6th August: T20 Round Robin @ Leinster C.C
The order of fixtures will be decided by ICC Europe.
