Reigning Irish Universities champions, Dublin Business School (DBS), were sensationally thrown out of the Irish Universities Outdoor Intervarsity tournament last night for fielding an ineligible player in their 31 run 'win' against Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) on Saturday 22nd May.
WIT will replace DBS in the semi-finals and will now meet the winners of the Dublin City University (the 2008 champions) and Griffith College Dublin, quarter-final clash.

(E) Dublin Business School (BBS) v WIT @ Royal College of Surgeons on 22nd May - DBS (233) beat WIT (202) by 31 runs. Match awarded to WIT as DBS fielded an ineligible player
(F) University of Ulster v DIT @ Bangor CC on 28th May
(G) Dublin University (DU) v NUIG @ College Park on 19th May - match awarded to NUIG as DU were unable to field a team
(H) Dublin City University (DCU) V Griffith College Dublin (GCD) @ TBC on TBC
The semi-finals (WIT v H and NUIG v F) and the Final are in Dublin on 8th and 9th June.
