Cork County made it a clean sweep of the Munster senior competitions after they brushed Limerick Raiders aside to add the Munster Senior Cup to the league title they secured a fortnight ago.
It was a fitting end to the Munster season for the city club who will now focus their efforts on fighting off relegation from the LCU Division 2.
Bowling first, the Cork County attack proved too good for the Limerick side who made the final in what is their debut season. Yet again, Bruce Koch proved his credentials after ripping through the Raiders to finish with 4-14.
Teenager James Duggan was also in the wickets with his left-arm seamers undoing three Limerick batsmen for 29 runs. Andy Saul also picked up two scalps, while Andy Wooton finished with a solitary wicket as the visitors were all out for 98.
Des O'Leary continued his fine run of form at the top of the innings, and put in a man-of-the-match performance to see County home with fellow opener Ross Durity to record a 10 wicket victory.
O'Leary (51*) scored his second consecutive 50, following on from the 60 he scored in County's defeat at the hands of Old Belvedere last weekend. Durity finished on 42 not out as County won the title for the second time in three seasons.
