This Saturday, 24th July, the final of the Lewis Hohn Williams Senior Cup takes place between Clontarf and Railway Union in College Park, Dublin.
It is a mouth-watering prospect with lots of match-winners and talent on both sides - Kenny Carroll, Alex Cusack, Trent Johnston, Andrew Poynter, Kevin O'Brien, Jordan Coghlan, Dhruv Kapoor to name but a few.
But if there is one player who stands out even from such exalted company it is Clontarf's professional Rod Hokin. Clontarf are going for their 4th Leinster Senior Cup title in as many years and the leg-spinning all-rounder has been instrumental in their success.
In the 2009 final Hokin destroyed North County with a superb 126* at the Inch. In the 2007 final he scored 116* as Clontarf defeated Merrion. The good news for Railway is that Hokin having made only 6 in the 2008 final is perhaps due to fail?
I wouldn't count on it....
