So far in this series, from Leinster we have featured Tomas Murphy from The Hills, Ryan Hopkins from Pembroke, Dhruv Kapoor from Railway Union and North County's Conor Sheil.
The fifth Cover Point selection of young players from Leinster is Merrion's Tyrone Kane.
Former Ireland international and Merrion CC stalwart Dom Joyce is impressed with Kane who will be sixteen in July:
"Tyrone is a really talented cricketer. He came into the Merrion first XI late last year and immediately made an impact with the ball. He didn't take many wickets but really kept the run rate down against some very good batsmen and showed he has an old head on young shoulders.
His bowling is very promising but batting may actually turn out to be his stronger suit and hopefully he'll get more of a chance to showcase those talents this coming season."

CP: When did you start to play cricket?
TK: When I was in 4th class in C.U.S. So when I was 8 years old.
CP: What sparked your interest in the game then?
TK: My brother began playing before me so I just went down to Merrion CC one day and immediately got involved.
CP: Favourite cricketer and why?
TK: Dale Steyn- bowls with great aggression and swings the ball. Strong arm in the field and can be handy at the end of the innings.
CP: Biggest influence and why?
TK: My coaches down in Merrion. They have always been driving me on and looking for me to set the example. Many thanks have to go to the Leinster coaches as well because of the trips set up which allow you to get a chance to play against excellent opposition. Also I'd like to thank Brian O'Rourke as he has been able to help me develop my game.
CP: Cricket ambitions for 2010?
TK: I would hope to make the Ireland U17s team and play more 1st team cricket.
CP: Cricket ambitions beyond 2010?
TK: To play in the U19s World Cup.
CP: Proudest cricket achievement to date?
TK: Getting 74 in the U15 All Ireland Final or captaining Leinster U15s.
CP: Biggest cricket disappointment to date?
TK: Losing 2 All Ireland finals. And losing U15 interprovincials.
CP: Area looking to improve re your cricket in 2010?
TK: Being consistent with the bat and cutting down on the loose deliveries.
CP: What other sports do you play or interests do you have?
TK: Gaelic, Rugby and Golf. Would love to play football at a high level.
CP: What else are you passionate about?
TK: I'd love to become a sports journalist after school if I can't become a professional cricketer.
CP: What could Irish cricket be doing (if anything) that it is not doing already to make the sport more popular?
TK: Try to get test status. And maybe more indoor facilities for winter training.
